...I live in Colorado with my patient husband Norm. (So patient, we recently celebrated our golden wedding anniversary.) We used to own an office supply store, which is like a chocoholic owning a candy store. I've lived, in order of appearance, in Eaton, Ohio; West Lafayette, Indiana; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Washington, DC; Lexington, Kentucky. I can make this list fearlessly, as we paid all our bills before we left.

In the sixties, I taught eighth grade American history. For eleven years, I was an associate editor at Writer's Digest, which is a fancy way to say I taught correspondence courses for their school. If you need a speaker for some writerly event, my resume' includes Writer-in-Residence at the local high school and conducting workshops at the (sigh) Maui Writers Conference. I'm at the perfect age to give advice: old enough to have had lots of experiences and young enough to remember what they are.
